Could someone explain "Send As" permissions to me and the various settings....
Here is what I know.... Exchange 2007, using EMC. Right click the users mailbox, and select Manage Full access permissions. Adding someone into full access does not grant them Send As permissions. I also right clicked users mailbox and selected Manage Send As permissions and added someone into this list. After I updated the GAL, and downloaded address book to outlook client. User was still not able to send in behalf. 3rd thing that work... Right clicked users mailbox and selected properties, Mail Flow Settings tab, Select Delivery Options, Properties, and added the users I wanted to have send as into this list, updated gal, downloaded to client and users were able to send email in behalf of this mailbox/user. What are the differences between the right click manage send as permissions, and the mail flow send as settings ? Thanks for your assistance in understanding this. Barnold

Send-As permission gives you the ability to send email as if they were sent by the other person, that is to say that you imperonate him/her. Send-on-Behalf gives you the right to send email in the other persons name, but when you do it says User1 on behalf of User2 in the From-field. So, as you can see these are 2 different settings. http://www.shudnow.net/2007/08/12/send-on-behalf-and-send-as/Jesper Bernle | Blog: http://xchangeserver.wordpress.com

I'm still confused by why after setting the Send-As permissions I was not able to do so. Maybe it was just timing thing because it looks to the address book to get those permissions. Thanks for your assistance. Barnold
